Services can be accessed by self-referral.  Families can contact Alphabet Soup Occupational Therapy for Kids by phone, or email to receive our self-referral form.

A doctor’s referral is not required.

 

Assessment

Offered in the home and/or school setting to assess motor skills (screening of the child’s fine/gross motor skills, printing/cursive skills, visual motor integration, visual perception, pencil grasp, and sensory motor skills); involves a comprehensive report, with goals and remedial suggestions/ strategies for the child and parent, caregiver and/or educator to consider.

 

Intervention in the Home Setting

One-to-one Occupational Therapy intervention sessions offered in the home environment; available after an initial assessment is completed and goals are identified.

 

Intervention in the School Setting

One-to-one Occupational Therapy intervention sessions offered in the school environment; available after an initial assessment is completed and goals are identified.

 

Consultation in the Community/Home Setting

Occupational Therapy consultation services may include consultation with parents, caregivers, educators, healthcare providers (e.g. physicians, physiotherapists, speech language pathologists) and/or other relevant team members involved in the child’s care.  Consultation may include training personnel working with child, providing program suggestions, monitoring skills, and/or providing professional clinical information – all with family consent.
